I, from time to time, dive into the world of motivational videos by top motivational speakers in the world through YouTube. So, I just scroll down whatever is trending on the subject, and whatever titles hooked me I listen to the video behind it. I make sure the video is not more than 20 minutes, otherwise, I won't be able to finish it, due to job and life constraints. Lately, I've been watching a video repeatedly for about three days in a row. I even downloaded the audio version and been listening to it in the car, before I sleep and sometimes even in the WC!
It's a video entitled: "Take these steps to attract the abundance you deserve" by the beautiful Regan Hillyer. A speaker who was unknown to me up to the day I watched the video. She starts the video with these two big questions: "Can anyone create an abundant life?", "Are you deserving and worthy of an abundant life?"; then I said to myself: Hey, wait a minute! You mean that anybody can create an abundant life? Are you serious? Then how is it that more than half of the planet is struggling to get a loaf of bread, as the latest OXFAM report has shown, while just 26 people in the whole world hold more than half of the population's wealth? Yeh, sure, why not? I am indeed worthy of an abundant life.
These and a lot of other questions came rushing to my mind. How is it possible for me to get that most sought-after abundant life, and be healthy, wealthy, content, and most of all happy. Then came the sentence that gave me a punch in the face, as she said: "Abundance is a mindset!". This means that I just have to change my mindset? It is not as easy as it seems! It’s about hacking my subconscious and believe deeply that I deserve an abundant life and feel it in my veins. And that, I have to sleep thinking about it, dream about it, wake up having it in my mind, work, do chores, drive, eat ... All in all, always have it in my mind and never doubt a bit about the fact that I deserve a better life. I must keep in mind that abundance is a natural state. However, it requires a lot of work and dedication, and I shall add to this perseverance.
The problem is that I always tend to have these ideas urging me to change, I have to develop myself, be a better version of myself. And, I have all those plans that I am going to do, the next day or the next morning ... but, they don't amount to anything. I keep asking myself, what is it wrong with me? Why do I always back up on changing my daily routines? Another problem is that I know that the solution isn't as hard as I suggest to myself sometimes it is. The solution is in me! We all hold abundance deep inside our souls, and we just must let it out, through nurturing it with some specific routines and thoughts.
According to Regan, there are some special key steps to attract abundance in all aspects of our lives. First and for most, it's the idea of getting a clear visualization of what is my vision. What is my goal? I had to ask myself, what do I want to achieve in this life? I am now 36 and still, it turned out to be a pretty difficult question though. At first, I thought, I want what everybody wants. But then, I said, hey, I'm not everybody. I am myself. I am a unique human being. Then a quote that I used to repeat a lot to myself hit me; I got it from Anthony Robbins. He says: "The day you turn expectations into appreciation, the day you become wealthy". And, I just paused for a minute. I want to be wealthy and live a prosperous life, and at my own rules; but, I must appreciate who I am and what I have. The equation didn’t make sense to me at first, but then … I realized that I am putting limits on my vision. I fell in the trap of “Oh is that too big?”, “What would others say, if I shared with them my vision?”.
All in all, abundance won't manifest itself in my life unless I believe firmly that it is already there, and that I just need to bring it up. This is in line with what Napoleon Hill mentioned ages ago: "Whatever the mind conceives and believes, it can achieve". To do this, according to Regan, I should develop a morning routine that best suits my marital life. First thing in the morning, neither will I be in a rush and so overwhelmed with the work tasks that I have to do today. Or, that I have to make my kid have breakfast in order to get him to school. Rather, I'll wake up a bit early than I usually do and try the gratitude principle. I will deeply be thankful for all the things I have right now, and for the things that are going to come. Second, I'm going to move my body a little bit, even if it's just a couple pushup, or stretching. The most important thing is that I have to move my body. I have already tried the positive affirmations, and they seem to inject impulses of self-confidence, and one of the sentences that I should add to my affirmation list is: "I deserve abundance in my life"; in short, it works. Then comes breakfast. I'll have to watch out the kind of food that I am putting in my belly. It has to be healthy and that it will help me get enough energy for the day. One more important thing is, I shouldn't compare myself to anybody else. I mustn't look right, or look left. It's just my successful image that is in front of me, and that I am trying to achieve. And, I believe that I am going to achieve this vision and everything I do, read or think pushes me a step forward to becoming a successful person with abundant life.

To end up this lesson, let me conclude with this thought-provoking quote by Marie Forleo, "Whatever your heart is craving, know that you can do it. You wouldn't have the impulse if you didn't already have the goods to make it happen".
